Hello everyone, my name is Stephanie, and I am excited that you have taken your first steps towards wellness. I am a licensed mental health counselor with 10 years of experience. I began my career working with children and individuals on the autism spectrum, and I also have background experience helping people struggling with addiction or impacted by a family member's addiction. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing low self-esteem, executive function challenges, OCD, domestic violence, life transitions, oppositional defiant disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I enjoy helping people and being a part of their journey to a better life.
My counseling philosophy is based on the idea that effective help requires treating multiple aspects of the person. I believe in a person-centered, eclectic approach to explore the social, familial, work, and stress-related struggles that we all face. Each of these parts makes us whole; if one area is out of balance, it can affect everything. I enjoy working alongside clients to help them develop a practical plan for getting "unstuck." In my practice, I utilize Executive Function tools, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed methods. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages (5+), including teenagers, young adults, college students, adults, and seniors.
If you are interested in taking the next step towards a better tomorrow, feel free to reach out. I am easy to talk to and provide a safe, judgment-free space. I am currently accepting clients for teletherapy and video calls.
