Whether you are a mom for the first time or the fifth, motherhood is a powerful blend of joy, fear, fulfillment, and sometimes loneliness. Each journey is unique—but that doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. This group is designed to offer a supportive space where moms can connect, share, and grow together.

We’ll explore the many emotional and mental shifts that come with motherhood, such as identity changes, the invisible mental load, and the challenge of maintaining your own well-being while caring for others. Together, we’ll build coping skills and increase self-awareness to help you feel more empowered and supported in your role as a mother.

This is a once-a-week group that meets for 60 minutes over 8 weeks.
To support group consistency and connection, please choose one meeting time that works best for you and plan to attend that session each week.

Reclaiming Space: A Trauma-Focused Group for Women & Gender-Expansive Adults (Ages 25+)

Open for new members!

Date / Time
Wednesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Therapist:
Allegra Negro
To register, please reach out to booking@talknytherapy.com

This group is designed for individuals who want to strengthen their connection with their bodies and themselves after trauma. Many women and gender-expansive adults have been taught, directly or indirectly, that their emotions are “too much” or “not enough.” This group provides a safe and supportive space to work through those experiences and begin healing.

Group participants will:

  • Explore practices of self-acceptance and self-compassion
  • Engage in inner child work, somatic experiencing, and guided sharing
  • Learn through psychoeducation and person-centered approaches
  • Build community by honoring and listening to each other’s stories

We’ll also reflect on important questions like: “When did you first realize you were expected to take up as little space as possible?”

A new group will begin every 8 weeks.
