Using a person-centered, strengths-based approach that draws primarily from Motivational Interviewing (MI), narrative therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I work collaboratively to navigate self-esteem, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, and relationship issues. Together, we'll work to identify meaningful strengths and motivators, reframe thoughts, and build greater self-compassion. Over time, clients increase self-knowledge by becoming better attuned to feelings and equipped to respond to various life circumstances.
My background in journalism and as a yoga teacher/practitioner inform the work that I do. Whether it’s in working together to construct new narratives that inspire change and growth, or examining the mind-body connection, clients can expect warm, personalized treatment that uses and integrative framework to support your individual needs and therapeutic goals.
Sessions are structured in a manner that acknowledges personal history and examines how problematic or intrusive thoughts can be better understood replaced with resources to boost mood, gain insight, and better one's relationship with oneself and others.
