As we are living in a fast-paced society, it is often difficult to put our mental health at the forefront. Prioritizing your mental well-being, self-care and personal growth helps one manage and adjust to challenging life changes. I am compassionate about my work as a therapist and provide a safe space for growth as I listen with curiosity to learn and build trust with my clients. As I work on building a connection with my clients, I also work with them to form a connection with themselves and others to ensure a better quality of life as well as learning the importance of living in the present moment.
I completed my M.S. in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY College at Old Westbury. I have experience in family therapy, individual therapy and group therapy. I specialize in areas such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, emotional regulation, self-esteem, substance use and much more. I have experience utilizing various modalities. I also have experience with multiculturalism. My educational training and clinical experience provided me with the competence I need to deliver culturally responsive care. I am bilingual; English and Urdu.
