As a childhood trauma survivor myself, I understand how much it matters to have a safe space to process those memories and to be your authentic self. Together we can work through your trauma and free you from its weight. As a mental health counselor working with individuals who are victims of trauma, struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, as well as those experiencing other stressful experiences. Since I aim for mutual authenticity, therapy with me consists of an integrative approach tailored to meet each patient’s needs – rooted in Psychodynamic, Relational-Cultural, Person-Centered, Attachment, Acceptance and Commitment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.
Beyond those who have experienced trauma, my clinical interests are men’s mental health and the psychology of children and adolescents with cancer or other terminal illnesses. In addition to individual therapy, I also have been trained in family and couples counseling to support families in crisis and families impacted by trauma. My work with families and couples is rooted in Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Bowen’s Family Systems, and Structural Family Therapy.
