As a therapist, my goal is to create a warm and inviting space for clients to process their emotions, foster personal growth, and better their relationships with others. I enjoy bringing humor and sincerity into sessions so that clients feel more at ease while we work through challenges and concerns. For this reason, I also meet clients where they are at and place patience and comfortability at the forefront of treatment.
I've received my B.A. in Forensic Psychology and M.A. in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I have outpatient experience working with adults struggling with a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My clientele includes adults from all backgrounds, and I especially enjoy working with clients from the Latinx community due to my ethnic background and ability to connect on a cultural level.
My approach is person-centered, ensuring that each session is tailored to a client's individual needs. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I support clients in developing coping skills, building resilience to overcome challenges, and creating meaningful change in their lives. I look forward to taking this therapeutic journey with you!
