Freya

Freya takes a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy. Drawing from various evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-focused therapy, among other approaches, and tailors her treatment to the individual needs of each client.

Above all, Freya is committed to empowering clients to take charge of their mental health and build a fulfilling and meaningful life by providing them with the support and tools they need to overcome their challenges.

Freya earned her Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling Program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she also received her undergraduate degree in Forensic psychology. She completed her graduate externship in an outpatient community mental health organization. Her background includes working with individuals and groups to address mental health issues, particularly among minority communities, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, serious mental illness, and more.
