About
Evelin

Evelin received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College in May 2022. She is also a doctoral candidate at Regent University and an Adjunct Lecturer at Queens College, where she teaches and guides the next generation of counselors. Beyond counseling clients and academic responsibilities, Evelin enjoys spending quality time with her family and four birds. During her time as a student, Evelin learned the importance of prioritizing her well-being to avoid burnout and provide the utmost care to those she serves, as she strongly believes she has been called to do this work with integrity and excellence.

Evelin is deeply passionate about cultivating a safe and nonjudgmental environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She is committed to creating a collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, respected, and supported in their emotional well-being and personal growth. Although Evelin received her clinical training in English, she has committed to learning clinical terminology in Spanish to expand access to care for the Hispanic/Latino/a/x population. As a first-generation Ecuadorian-American female and graduate, this was a primary goal: to provide culturally sensitive care to underserved communities.
