About
Anthony

Dr. Anthony Bridgeman is a compassionate therapist who brings together a unique blend of mental health expertise, leadership experience, and academic scholarship to support individuals, couples, and families on their journey toward healing and growth.

With an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and additional training in Family Therapy, Dr. Bridgeman holds a New York State Limited Permit in Mental Health Counseling and is preparing for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He provides therapy through an integrative, solution focused, client-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, empowerment, and evidence-based practice. His therapeutic style is collaborative—helping clients explore their challenges, recognize their strengths, and develop strategies to foster resilience and self-worth.

Dr. Bridgeman’s mental health background includes internship and clinical experience in addiction and recovery work, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. He believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and soul, and guiding clients through life’s transitions with compassion and practical tools for growth.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bridgeman is a seasoned educational leader with over 25 years of experience as a principal and educational leader. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies (Ed.D.) from Hofstra University, along with multiple New York State administrative certifications (School District Administrator, School Business Administrator, School Building Leader). He currently serves as a Principal as well as an Adjunct Professor of Leadership, where he mentors aspiring school leaders.

This dual perspective - as both a mental health professional and long-standing leader, gives Dr. Bridgeman a deep understanding of human development, stress, organizational systems, and the ways people navigate relationships and change. His work is guided by the values of respect, responsibility, and relationships, principles that shape both his leadership and his clinical practice.

Dr. Bridgeman is open to work with any population, providing a client centered, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness approach to counseling and treating clients.
